Recent and current work includes:
- A whole system action inquiry on 'Rethinking Vulnerability' for the British Red Cross, as an associate of the Centre for Social and Organisational Learning as Action Research (SOLAR), University of the West of England, Bristol.
- Case studies to support the ongoing development of services for new migrants to the Highland Council area for the Highland Wellbeing Alliance.
- An evaluation of lessons from across the eight Homelessness Prevention Innovation Fund (HPIF) projects for the Scottish Executive.
- Participatory action research evaluation of CitiStat, a pilot performance management model in local authorities and the NHS, for the Scottish Executive.
- An action research project on strategic planning and performance improvement in small and medium sized third sector organisations for the Performance Hub.
- A scoping study exploring the potential use of action research and applied research to support evidence based practice and improve public sector delivery, using the NHS Scotland as a pilot, for the Scottish Executive.
- Facilitation of action learning based collaborative to support regeneration practice, for the Scottish Centre for Regeneration and support for action learning in the Equity in Education Inclusive Learning Network.
- Good practice guidance on how to gather views on service quality, for Communities Scotland.
- Management and quality assurance support for public consultation on the Draft Sexual Health Strategy for the Scottish Executive.
- Evaluation advice and capacity building through mentoring and training, for example, for the Social Enterprise Academy.
- Undertaking research and evaluations of projects and programmes, for example, for Communities Scotland.
- Facilitating participatory workshops and training. Taster workshops and training courses can be provided on a range of subjects; including action research, appreciative inquiry, social research methods, approaches to evaluation, evaluating community development, participatory research and evaluation, research commissioning and management.
